Help us raise $20k to build worker power by July 31st!
In a time of deep uncertainty and shifting political landscapes, the NYC Network of Worker Cooperatives is building a future rooted in care, democracy, and shared power.
As we celebrate the International Year of Cooperatives, our network of 65+ worker cooperatives is demonstrating that solidarity isn’t just a response to crisis but a blueprint for what’s possible. Across New York City, worker cooperatives are modeling a new kind of economy: one where BIPOC, immigrant, queer, and disabled worker-owners lead with dignity and justice; where businesses are governed democratically; and where food, care, climate, and community needs are met through collective solutions.
NYC NOWC invites you to join our Cooperation is Resistance Summer Fundraising Campaign to raise $20k by July 31, 2025 to embolden the incredible work of our community of deeply vulnerable workers and worker owners. Your donation sustains a growing movement that centers people and planet over profit and ensures no worker-owner is left behind.

This #InternationalYearOfCooperatives, we’re scaling what works. Here’s how your donation fuels our frontline resistance:
1. Supporting Worker-Owner Advocacy in Action - Our member-led Advocacy Council is fighting where our communities are excluded while advocating for policies that support co-ops through our NYC’s Future is Cooperative policy platform!
2. Building Critical Rapid Response Infrastructure for the Worker Cooperative Movement. Through Know Your Rights trainings and connection to important resources, NYC NOWC is working to provide a holistic and quick response to protect our immigrant, migrant and refugee communities
3. Spreading Worker Cooperatives Everywhere! NYC NOWC supports worker-owners in leading outreach and training to communities across the city that need this model for mutual aid and cooperation now more than ever.
4. Enhancing the Cooperative Sustainability Fund: Mutual Aid in Practice. This critical fund provides direct grants to worker cooperatives that connect cooperatives to each other for marketing, finance, and other business supports. These grants aren’t just about survival—they’re solidarity in action!
5. Promoting Language Justice and Disability Justice as Resistance. NYC NOWC is committed to ensuring accessibility within all of its spaces so that immigrant, immunocompromised, disabled, and caregiver worker-owners can lead without risk.
As a 501(c)6 organization, NYC NoWC is uniquely positioned to advocate for worker-cooperative policies—but we rely on supporters like you, as most charitable grants aren’t available to us.
